Indirect Parliamentary Democracy

  • Decides on the laws
  • Suffrage
  • Proportional representation
    • Members of parliament are decided according to the proportion they got during the elections
    • No personal element in the voting process
  • Principle of Legality
  • Every act of the executive branch must be based on law
    • Executive branch (including administration) is bound by the law
    • Without a law, the executive is not entitled to act
    • Voter gives legitimization to executive branch
